Health Monitoring

Medical Sensors track healthThis project uses a diverse set of health sensors to monitor rehabilitation of a recovering patient. Features include monitoring health while on exercise machines, tracking exercise, monitoring exercise routes, and tracking achievement towards rehabilitation goals.

Scenario

Patients recovering from critical health events, such as cardiac arrest, must follow careful exercise regimes to build strength and to recover their health. A therapist creates a remediation plan and sets goals for the patient. A health-metrics baseline is established through an initial evaluation session using the health sensors. Safe thresholds and goals are established. The app works in two modes: (1) active rehabilitation -- in which the patient participates in a planned and monitored exercise routine, and (2) exercise (walking and jogging) tracking -- which includes recording exercise metrics and optional real-time tracking of the route.

Safety Analysis

Safety is primarily related to monitoring the patient during exercise routines to ensure that safe health thresholds are maintained.

Threat Model

Security vulnerabilities include incorrect health readings, modifying goals etc. (Threat model pending)
